About Us
AWAKE is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 volunteer organization committed to helping women and children in abusive situations. We also work to empower women and girls. We are a community based volunteer organization devoted to the well being of South Asian Women in the United States of America. AWAKE has over 50 volunteers from different occupations and of varying ages. We offer our clients total privacy and confidentiality, with all services provided free of charge. AWAKE provides one-on-one, customized, personal help and hand-holding, sometimes spanning multiple years. AWAKE is not a part of other domestic violence or legal assistance organization, but can provide referrals, when needed.
