We believe all women can embrace who they are, can define their future, and can change the world.
AWAKE is a not-for-profit 501( c )3 volunteer organization committed to helping women and children in abusive situations. We also work to empower women and girls. We are a community based volunteer organization devoted to the well being of South Asian Women in the United States of America. AWAKE has over 50 volunteers from different occupations and of varying ages. We offer our clients total privacy and confidentiality, with all services provided free of charge. AWAKE provides one-on-one, customized, personal help and hand-holding, sometimes spanning multiple years. AWAKE is not a part of other domestic violence or legal assistance organization, but can provide referrals, when needed.

Our approach
Our Mission
To work with local communities, and build a society free of violence for South Asian woman and children, and to empower and to help them assimilate into society.
As of 2024, we have provided counseling, job training, social services referrals, interest-free loans and/ or financial assistance to more than 2,456 struggling women.
Our Vision
A society where women and children live without fear, with dignity and respect, and as equals.
Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we provide support that meets women where they’re at, to help them get to where they are going.

Our numbers speak
We have strong record of serving vulnerable women and children. We give our best and make sure that we break our own records. We are happy to be growing and helping more day by day.
